Prior to this, Sörensen has a rich history of luxury hotel experience. He has held roles as a concierge at Hotel Adlon Berlin (Kempinski), Hotel George V Paris (Four Seasons), Hotel Arts Barcelona (Ritz-Carlton) and The Plaza Hotel (Fairmont). He next spent over four years at senior roles at The Connaught, another year at Le Bristol Paris and was general manager for over five years at The Beaumont Hotel in London.
